- That salvation, righteousness, and everything needed for abundant and joyful living have been provided freely through the work of Jesus Christ
- (2 Peter 1:3).
- That God has revealed himself in the scriptures as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- (Matthew 28:19, John 14:16-17, 1 John 5:7-8)
- That the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the inspired and authoritative Word of God, and clearly point to two distinct covenants that God has made; a covenant of law (based on our works and performance in holiness) and a covenant of grace (based on faith in the finished work of Jesus)
- (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21)
- That Jesus, by his suffering and death, fulfilled the law, paying the penalty for our sin in order to bring humanity into right standing with God (2 Corinthians 5:21). He gives his righteousness to all who believe in him (Romans 3:21-22). This righteousness cannot be earned or merited, but is received through faith in Him (Ephesians 2:8).
- That Jesus’ grace alone provides everything we need to reign in life (Romans 5:17), including: Perfect righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21) Eternal redemption through the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 9:12) Peace and joy (Romans 14:17) Health and healing (Matthew 8:2-3) Provision for abundant living (John 10:10, 3 John 1:2)
- That the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to all believers that empower us for life and that are to be used to encourage and build up other people (I Corinthians 12. Ephesians 4:12)
- That Jesus is coming back again (Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
